GERMAN AND SPANISH EDITIONS OF PSS

The page for Perdido Street Station has been updated with information regarding the new Spanish and German editions of the book. The Spanish edition was released in December 2001. The German edition is split in two volumes, forthcoming in March and April.

THE RED POPPY

Here's something that might interest China Miéville readers. Revolution SF has recently reprinted a Red Poppy story by Paul Miles, originally published in 1931 in The Daily Worker.

For those who don't know the Red Poppy, he was a pulp character created by Arthur Carr to present the notions of Communism in an entertaining way. It ran in The Worker's Supplement between 1927 and 1953.

Go on to read The Red Poppy in "Death in Four Colors".

Reader Lavie Tidhar set up a new website dedicated to China at http://www.chinamieville.com/. It's still under construction, but it already features some information on proof copies and first editions that might interest collectors.
